These rugs perfect for high traffic areas or homes with pets and children. These are highly stain-resistant and easy to clean. With the combination of technology and design these offer you a fantastic range of either short or long pile rugs with a very soft hand feel. The majority of our range is in this area.

Acrylic Rugs are a great alternative to wool. These are super soft and great for retaining warmth but are more difficult to clean and less durable than other synthetic fibres.

Viscose Rugs are most suited to lower traffic areas. Our viscose rugs are hand woven or tufted for a more luxurious finish. These are less durable and more susceptible to staining. Please note that viscose strands will loosen at the edge of the rug during normal wear and tear. Stray fibres should be cut & not pulled as they are hand finished.

Cotton rugs are static resistant and hypoallergenic. Our luxurious Louis De Poortere cotton chenille flatweave rugs are made in Belgium combining tradition with the latest production innovations. These are less hardwearing than our synthetic polypropylene and polyester rugs and more suited to pet free rooms.

Wool is a soft and hardwearing fibre. It retains warmth and a wool rug is a great addition for a cozy room but should be avoided in areas with underfloor heating as the heat will struggle to escape from the rug itself. A wool rug will naturally shed fibres at first and should settle within 6 months but sometimes longer .

When you first buy a rug, you may find it rolls up slightly at the end. This is from being rolled in storage and will flatten after time.

Sunlight can cause fading on rugs, particularly with natural fibres. If your rug is in an area of direct sunlight, we recommend turning the rug regularly to avoid patchy fading.

Rug underlays are recommended additions to your rug purchase. These help prevent slippage and provide a barrier between the rug and your floor.

Vacuuming your rugs regularly is important and we recommend using the nozzle attachment of your appliance rather than the abrasive rotary brush that can damage the fibres and suck the yarn away from the rug itself.

We recommend that you vacuum your rug around once a week. Do not vacuum any trims.

For natural fibre and acrylic please avoid using a rotating head style vacuum cleaner as this will damage the pile and cause excess shedding. Do not vacuum any trims.

This is a more delicate fabric so please avoid vacuuming and use a carpet sweeper.

Spills should be treated immediately to avoid permanent staining. Blot the stain with a clean white cloth or paper towel to absorb as much liquid as possible. Moisten a cotton cloth with lukewarm water, wring it out and blot the stain. Do not rub, as this may cause permanent damage to the rug or spread the stain. Do not use soap. Please note that some fibres are more susceptible to staining and it may not be possible to fully remove all stains. It is advisable that you protect your underfloor surface whilst cleaning or using any fluids on your rug.

For solids, gently scrape off any excess (food, mud etc…) using a blunt knife. Clean with lukewarm water and then blot the dampened area to remove excess moisture. If a stain cannot be removed as above, please seek specialist cleaning advice.
