Lovely bed, pity I cant assemble it...
After a traumatic sales experience, I finally got sorted with my bed thanks to an excellent member of staff. But I now have the bed frame and I cant assemble it as 9 parts are missing... 8 bolts and a washer... I'll now have to sleep with the mattress on the floor and go to Woodies tomorrow to but the bolts..... obviously no QA done on these products...
After the experience I had, I was willing to forgive Harvey Norman and give them another chance but after finding that parts are missing, I think that's their chance gone out the window....

Really poor craftsmanship
I got parts of this whole hamilton range and it has been nothing short of a disaster, bed frame came and parts were broken on it I had to go out and get wood glue and screws myself to fix cracked fittings etc where the bed joins together, and the rail system in the drawer units are uneven and do not go in and out in unison. Also got 2 bedside lockers to match the bed and went through 7 separate units before I got 2 that had not scuff marks, white paint on the black handles or else railings that were totally broken. Really nice aesthetically but in a practical sense a nightmare!

Quality bed, issues with damaged/incorrect parts
We just bought a house and needed a bed. We opened the box to find one of the parts damaged. The replacement part took 5 days to arrive.
When we started to put the bed together we found there were 2 left legs. We managed to pull out the gold pronged tee nuts out of one and re insert them on the other side. The manufacturer must have inserted these on the wrong side or the shipper gave us a wrong leg.
Otherwise, it was easy to assemble.
After many nights on the floor, we eventually had a bed. It is good and sturdy, and looks great.

Very disappointed with Hamilton bed - Not fit for purpose
Beautiful looking bed but that is where it ends.
Very poor design. Side panel had to be replaced as the bed broke. Very inadequate screws holding it together.
HN admitted there was a design fault and said it had been rectified. Bed was replaced. Still have problems. Bed continues to creek. Expensive bed for what it is and not up to standard.
I note that HN do not have the bed on display in Nutgrove store even though they are selling the bedside lockers and drawers. Does this not suggest that there is a problem?
Staff told me that this was the only problem yet bed installer said he had to replace several beds. Alan, the bedding section manager not going out of his way to help.
Will probably have to get my solicitor involved to bring things to a head.

Hamilton King 5" Bed and 2 Lockers
Excellent Quality, very sturdy, the bed is so comfortable. The lockers are stunning, the drawers are very roomy they hold a lot and they have soft closing. The set looks absolutely gorgeous in our bedroom. Really good value for money. We are so happy with our purchase

Our Fabulous New Bed
Having our bed propped up by 6 wooden blocks for the last few years! This bed is pure luxury for us.
It is a gorgeous contemporary design which fits perfectly into our bedroom. Love the fact its neutral, I can change the look with different funky duvet covers. We love it.
