The Hands Free Hood
This cooker hood has Hob2Hood, a useful feature that automatically controls your cooker hood and lights. Leave Hob2Hood to regulate the fan while you concentrate on the key moments involved in getting your dish just right. But if you rather adjust the fan speed yourself, there are manual controls on the cooker hood too.

I am new to AEG appliances my first purchase was a dishwasher and very happy with the quality so decided to purchase this sleek cooker hood, the quality is simply what i expected and now considering a hob and oven from AEG to complete the kitchen refit

Filter
The description says that the filter can be washed and reactivated, not true.
The filter supplied is a type 15 non washable activated charcoal filter that must be replaced at least every four months therefore adding more cost.
Such a misleading error from AEG is very surprising

Works in harmony with the hob!
A little difficult to install but once in place it seamlessly interfaces with our induction hob and operates automatically. It's a marvel, pop the pot on the hob and this extractor illuminates the cooking zone and selects the correct speed. Love this technology!

Smart but has flaws
This is a good looking, modern and functional extractor BUT in my opinion the chimney is flimsy and a little cheap looking .. plus mine has marks on the front just below the AEG logo which can’t be removed ... and it kinda takes away the swish factor from the appliance!

A good looking fan, really quiet on first two speeds, then gets a bit noisier on the higher settings. Certainly takes all the smells and moisture from the cooking.

Quiet compact quality
We have an open plan kitchen diner with a low sloping ceiling. This hood fitted the bill perfectly. On the first setting you can't hear the fan operating and is pretty quiet on the intermediate settings. It's only on the highest setting does it feel like Concorde is taking off. The hood is a nice design and the workings are pretty compact relative to other hoods on the market - but have had to adapt the decorative chimney to fit. Overall very happy with the product
