Not good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Surprised at the poor design of this hob which was a replacement for an older Bosch hob. Who designed this never cleaned a hob - the brushed stell finish is too fine and shows water marks even after wiping. This was not a problem with the older hob which had a coarser brushed finish which did not show marks so easily. Also, the low-high indicators by the knobs are in grey - the logic for having these in grey and not a more visible black is unfathomable. The trivets have left scratch marks on each side of the hob (far left and far right).

Just ok, hard to clean the black grill plates. Does not light the gas easily. Also flexes if you push down to hard to light the gas. Normally Bosch is a lot better than this. I bought online with out looking at the product in a shop. Would not have bought it had I felt the material of the black grill plates. If they where smooth it would be ok.

A smart and efficient gas hob
Very pleased with this purchase. Efficient in use and easy to keep clean. Only slight downside is that pans cannot be slid smoothly from one burner to another, as they catch on the edges of the pan support base, and consequently the pans have to be lifted when being moved, and they can be quite heavy when full! If the support base was rounded on the edges, a different design perhaps, this problem need not arise.

Not worth the extra cost
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a few months of having installed and using the hob it started igniting randomly on its own. I called the technical support and they changed the electric part of the buttons. They said that it is a known problem caused by cleaning the hobs when water reaches the electrics. I think that this is a poor design as it is very natural for water to run on the hob while cooking and of course while cleaning the product.

Poorly designed and unreliable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We orderd this online and wish we had seen the product in a store. The finish is shinier than our previous Bosch hob and shows every mark, which the previous one did not. The markings for the knobs are in grey and so are less clear than if they were in black. The designers of this clearly did not use it much or cleaned it! We have twice had the fault of the igniters continuously firing and only stop when the electricity to the hob is switched off. The first repair relaced all the wiring in the hob but we have the problem again. Bosch used to mean a quality product but our recent experiences with this (and another) Bosch product indicates this is not the case anymore.

Great item
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Bosch hob before which needed replacing. This one ticked the boxes as our old one had the dials at the front and also opened up the gas immediately. Not great when you have a 2 year old who loves touching stuff they cannot see so this made it a lot easier. Downside is the metal at the front gets hot so not ideal for little hands however, we have managed to stop them from touching it now and avoided any horrible accidents. Otherwise an incredible hob

Very smart with clean lines
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this hob which replaced a very old one. I chose this to go with a Bosch oven. It came with an LPG conversion kit which was appreciated. The design is very attractive and the ability to adjust the flame goes far beyond what I was used to.
On the downside, in common with all stainless steel appliances, it is not low maintenance when it comes to cleaning. I did anticipate this so I was not surprised.
Overall, I am very happy with this hob.

Defective hob
Had this installed just over a month ago and when it was done there was a defect in the top right hand corner where it would not sit flat against the worktop.
I thought the material itself is quite flimsy, so we have upgraded and spent a bit more money on a tempered glass hob.
Cleaning it was also horrendous. I was left with visible streaks and in the end i had to spend at least 10 minutes buffing it up to make it look nice. It also scratched easily, where the rough cast iron supports were.
