Disappointing
Bought as part of a fitted kitchen from Howdens. Considering the cost I am very disappointed with this dishwasher. The cups and glasses have to be hand dried as they have always water on their bases once the programme has finished and the door opening function throws drops of water all over nearby cupboards which has to be mopped up after every cycle.
My dinner plates don't fit in the racks.
It is very quiet but I would not buy AEG again. Door very creaky after 6 months of use.

Leaks like a sieve
Had this dishwasher 2.5 years and had to pull it out twice due to it leaking. Water was coming from the bottom. Basically there is a design/quality issue with this product caused by the internal nuts which secure the ‘ComfortLift’ mechanism working loose and allowing water to leak through and drip down into the undertray. Google it and look and YouTube you will find it happens to a lot of people. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. The comfort lift is a good idea but this issue maybe explains why no other manufacturer is using this system.

Not dry enough
Everything in my kitchen is AEG and when my trusty but ancient Favorit dishwasher finally went to recycling heaven, I treated myself to the FSE83837P - primarily for the lower rack elevator which is a pensioner's dream. But I'm not totally happy with its performance [albeit I am still experimenting].
Firstly, whoever designed the settings interface should be moved to a desk where he can do no harm. It is hard to reach, unresponsive, confusing and lacks feedback.
And although only testing a 1h30m cycle so far, I am disappointed with the amount of moisture remaining in some places, eg on glasses stacked in the right way on the top shelf. Even after leaving the door open all night, they don't seem to dry. So I have to dry glasses afterwards by hand - which I didn't expect to have to do at this price and with these claimed drying features. But I haven't tried the AUTO setting yet nor any of the EXTRAS options so I haven't given up all hope yet.
More testing needed but it seems that drying works better on the lower rack - but woe betide me if I pull out the upper rack first as it drops water onto the rack below.
I like everything else about this dishwasher but poor drying is a major problem.

Excellent Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our new dishwasher to replace the Zanussi dishwasher which was well over 10 years old. We have always purchased Electralux products and found them reliable well designed and value for money. We considered various manufacturers products but at the end of the day we decided on AEG, the best in every respect. Comparing it to our old machine there were clear and obvious improvements, the cutlary tray and the ability to raise the bottom tray being just two, the machine whist the same dimensions seems to have a much bigger capacity, all down to design I suppose. It also has a great choice of wash programmes and is very quiet when operating. The red and green warning lights shinning on the floor are more quirky than functional. All in all I would have no hesitation in recommending the AEG FSE83837P the only thing you need to worry about is getting it for the best price.

An exceptional quality product with great design features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Modern design with unique features make this the best dishwasher we have ever owned. The comfort lift mechanism has removed the effort out of bending down repeatedly to empty the unit. The cutlery drawer is fantastic and the adjustable height allows outsized glass ware to be cleaned. The unit struggles to fit in large dinner plates and large glasses but we like the dishwasher so much we will buy new smaller plates.

Great Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Use this everyday and love the comfort lift option. Cutley drawer not my fave as would prefer a basket. Door opens to air dry at end of cycle which is good. Need to try out some more functions but overall good.
