Worth every penny
When you really get into coffee then this is the machine for you, it gives the amateur barista a starting block that is more than entry level, it is a powerful machine without being over complicated and yet gives you plenty of room for growth. Brilliant compact design with everything you will need to get started, just add coffee and milk.
I’ve gone from getting the right shot to teaching myself to do latte art with this machine, worth every penny, a sound purchase with plenty of accessories and spare parts to not have to worry other than what coffee to try next.

Excellent first coffee machine.
Lovely little machine. This is my first proper one, I had been using an aeropress before, but decided it was time to upgrade and was looking at the Barista Express, then was persuaded to spend a little more for the Pro version instead. Even with my inexperienced hands driving, this is producing fantastic tasting coffee right from the very first cup. My latte art is terrible, but I'm having lots of fun practicing, it's entirely my fault I'm sure. So glad I bought this, should have done it long ago. Enjoying super coffee every day now, rather than the hit & miss random coffees from the aeropress. Just got to perfect the latte art and I'll be over the moon.

Perfect home machine
I purchased this a month ago as my first step into home espresso machine and cannot recommend enough!
The use of the machine is intuitive and very quick progression curve to start getting coffee shop tasting coffee in no time.
I bought a pair of coffee scales to go with the machine and I would say this is essential. I would also recommend a dosing funnel as the coffee when mounded up in the portafilter can get a little messy.
Steam wand is great and produces amazing microfoam, i am yet to perfect the latte art however.
All round great machine I can see being part of my daily routine for years to come.

Barista Pro - nice machine
I took delivery of my new Barista Pro a couple of weeks ago. This is my 4th SAGE coffee machine so I it is fair to say that I am already a big fan!
The Barista Pro has the more rounded look of the newer models. It looks smart but it also seems a little more flimsy / less solid than my other machines (Barista Express and the Oracle).
However, the machine works well and the improved steam wand is so much better than the one of the Express machine.
I also really liked that there now is a 'fill tank' automatic warning when the water level is too low.
Altogether a nice, mid-sized machine that makes excellent coffees.

Looks great
We’ve had the Sage Barista Pro for over a year now. Before purchasing we asked friends who had one, they raved about the coffee. But, what should have been a red flag - everyone commented on how easy it was to get the machine fixed… Up until this purchase, we were a nespresso (Sage machine) family so decided given the brand is the same, we would give it a go. The Barista Pro is like a grumpy teenager and is so temperamental. I’ve had to do a troubleshoot fix on it 3 times and it has had to sent off for repair once (which takes absolutely ages BTW). Whilst the machine is great, when it’s in the mood to be, I don’t think I’d recommend it given the price tag.

Great machine, terrible customer service
The machine is great. It should have come with free coffee but didn’t. It is impossible to get through to customer service. The phone usually won’t connect. Or puts you on hold for an hour. Call back and live chat don’t work. Just awful service. I know the review guidance says don’t mention customer service, call us. But they don’t reply. So what choice do I have?

Good buy
Bought this 2 months ago. Easy to set up and use. Boils water for extraction and frothing very quickly; a really nice feature. Mechanically and aesthetically very good. Very minor quibbles… Pressure display would be nice, water tank could have been slightly more robust, and instead of promoting the “Dosing Funnel “ as a whizzy feature enhancement accessory, it might have been better just to design the grind dispense mechanism better in the first place, so that it didn’t occasionally overspill the portafilter when grinding. Overall a great product so far. I highly recommend it.

Barista Pro - A month of ownership
I have had the Barista Pro about a month now. It is a great machine with all the facilities needed to get anyone started on their home expresso journey.
The machine comes with all items needed to make a great coffee. The machine is easy to setup, starts really quickly, is now used on a daily basis and is also easy to clean.
It takes some time and coffee to get it 'dialled in' but this is all part of the expresso experience.
Provides a nice balance between auto and manual activities to suit most users levels of skill and needs.
