Machine needed descaling
The product works really well and we have thoroughly enjoyed the coffees however after a few months the steam wand demanded more and more cleaning which became very frustrating and eventually stopped working.
Had to call for a maintenance person to visit - turned out that in spite of following recommended maintenance and having a water supply that was not considered too hard the machine was suffering from scale.
He was able to show that using a very cheap and effective descaled the machine started working perfectly.
Perhaps Sage reviewing the recommended maintenance procedures might help others avoid this seemingly unnecessary failure

Quick and easy, great coffee
Bought the Barista Touch to replace Oracle which had given up after many years of use. Touch very simple to set up and to fill and empty water tank. I was surprised how quickly it heated up and was ready for use. The coffee was perfect temperature. So easy to do a variety of drinks using the touch screen, and the milk frother produces lovely thick frothy coffee. It took a few goes to get the perfect grind, but that is to be expected. I do find that without the automatic tamper i do get a bit of a mess with coffee grinds but I think that is lack of skill on my part. I am extremely pleased with the Barista Touch and would highly recommend.

I wouldn’t recommend buying it black - I have scratched mine very easily
I’ve had the Sage Barista Touch in ‘Black Truffle’ for about 2 months.
Pros:
Makes great coffee. Easy to use touchscreen.
Cons:
The black colour is a very thin layer over the stainless steel. I would consider myself careful person and I’ve already scratched it twice in 2 months - once cleaning it and once when accidentally putting a kitchen knife away next to it. I’m disappointed at this as it’s a kitchen product and will be placed next to knife-blocks etc. In my opinion I would not recommend buying in black.

Barista coffee at home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first it wasn't easy to set up reading the instructions was simple once switched the machine on as it gives clear instructions on the touch screen and you just work through the screens step by step. Then you get to make all your favourite coffee styles. Fresh coffee whenever you want. The bean holder , holds a full standard sized bag of beans. The coarseness of the grind of beans is adjustable in fact you can adapt and change lots of settings to make the prefect coffee for you. Or even just warm frothy milk, to make hot chocolate in the winter or add coffee to make a mocha.

Repeat of same problem with replacement machine
Further to my other review, we were given a replacement machine in Jan 2019. This has developed the same fault as the previous one. Even though it’s not 2 years since we were given this, it is now a chargeable repair to correct the fault. We have religiously kept to the cleaning regime suggested. Having spend a lot of money on this, I would hope that it would last more than 2 years. This is the 2nd one that hasn’t!

The best appliance purchase I've ever made
I had done lots of research into coffee machines, and was moving from a delonghi bean to cup; this is a huge step up in terms of quality of coffee. I watched a plethora of youtube videos on how to use and also attended a sage masterclass after purchase, all of which have been excellent.
The coffee this makes is far superior to that from Costa etc, if you're used to a milky slight coffee taste this might not be for you, although you can create your own coffee via saving a specific programme.
If you want outstanding coffee and miss the local coffee shop then this is for you, naturally you need to buy quality recently roasted beans (non supermarket) and there will be quite a lot of trial and error; don't let this put you off.

I'm in love!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like a professional Barista and I love it!! This machine is so fantastic. It's a very stylish appliance and fits in really well with my appliances. There are lots of amazing parts of this machine but my favourite has to be the screen where you can choose which coffee you want to make. It's very easy to use and it is easy to clean as well, the grate at the bottom catches all of the overspill and accidents which is really cool especially when you are practising.
It's really awesome to be able to froth the milk up so easily and I am slowly able to do some designs in my coffee. It makes it so much more enjoyable to make my coffee now.
I can't wait for more family and friends to come round, not only will they be super impressed at the machine, they will love to try my lovely new coffee making skills!

A step up for me
This machine is a step up for me as never had an expresso barista before. After a month or so I can state that I am finding it quite difficult to bed in the best settings for my taste. At one point I was so confused that I reset the machine to factory defaults to start again! On the plus side the milk frother is helping me make great flat whites and standard expresso is good. Struggling with grind coarse to fine settings, puck consistency and the amount of water that splutters out for a long black? Water flow spluttering also makes a mess on the machine and the surrounds? Its early days so maybe I can improve with use.
