Manufacturing flaw/ Brew-head fails/ poor coating bubbles off within 3 months.
I have had a faulty brewhead on my oracle touch. I have had 1 machine repared (part replaced, and then the whole machine replaced. however - the fault has occurred again within 3 months of normal use. This is a design fault. as you can see from the photo of the one replaced unit - this is not hygienic... and is not acceptable. why oh why is this crucial part not stainless steel.
You also cannot buy this part in the spares store.
I cannot recommend this machine because this is not a one off fault - I guarantee you will encounter this issue. It is a real pity as except for this - it is a great machine.

No Repair but New Machine .
Phoned Sage to have a repair under guarantee to my Oracle touch bean to cup machine the boiler was leaking I was very pleased when sage said no we will send you a New machine, The new machine was like for like and arrived within a few days I opened the box to find like sage said a new machine set it up and I swear it works better than the one I sent back . I sent the broken machine back in the Box the new machine arrived in with a label Sage sent me by email to print off . All in all a very good experience but is what you would expect from Sage in any case . Thank you Sage for your Prompt attention to my faulty machine.

Grinder failure, inconsistent tamping
The machine was great the first 2 weeks of use, then it started inconsistently tamping correctly (came out wavy 50% of the time, resulting in a lot of wasted coffee). Then after only 6 weeks of use, the grinder started jamming (despite using only fresh locally roasted beans). Despite cleaning as recommended, the grinder completely failed after 2 more weeks of use, now I am unable to grind any locally roasted beans at a fine enough setting to make espresso. The machine was sent back for repairs, but I was told that there was nothing wrong with the grinder and it was sent back to me. It still doesn’t work with any fresh beans. I am very unhappy with this product.

Outstanding machine
This is an outstanding machine. It is fully automated but it still enables you to participate in the magic of coffee making. The automatic grinding and tapping works brilliantly, The milk brother is par excellence. Cleaning is minimal (which is NOT true of Jura machines). The only variable is the coffee bean you use - because each different type must be ground to a different coarseness to provide the optimal flow of water through it to achieve the best espresso. So one must expect to experiment with the precise coarseness/fineness of powder that you require to produce the espresso in the recommend time. It's an art - i.e. trial and error. But THAT is the true joy of the machine. It takes but one cup to realise that this is the best machine on the market.

Great piece of machine but buggy
I would rate this machine as a top end product, however pieces of the machine is buggy and has some faults. Like the descale process in the software. VERY often leaves the machine unusable because of the process stops midway and you have to result to quite difficult process to get it working again. And the locking mechanism in the lid for water-refill is fragile and breaks easily. The full "automation" of the process though is very good and keeps you doing stuff, while not fully automated which is nice. I would think twice before recommending it, based on value for price! (51% to no based on experience and price)

Grinder broken within 5 months
Machine started off well. After 4 months we would hear the odd loud metallic grind sound every few shots. At 5 months it completely went and an attempt to grind would result in half a shot and horrific sounds.
Sage's repair center called and did a video inspection. I was advised that it could be use of the wrong beans. This is a huge warning, there is no advice on what brands, roasting level, size of been etc to go by but Sage has clearly implied the machine is not suitable for just any of your common coffee brand beens and they can actually break your grinder.

Nice coffee but lousy support
I received an impressive looking Sage coffee maker which, within a few days notified me of the need to descale it. Having followed the instructions to the letter, the descale notification didn't go away and, a month later, is still going strong.
Alas, I have had absolutely no response from Sage support so am minded to revert to my old trusted DeLonghi as the coffee it makes is no worse and the support miles ahead.

great machine
I first bought a Barista Pro but sent it back when it wouldn't brew properly ( after much help from Sage staff). The replacement Barista Pro had a faulty power button so that went back too. I was pretty sceptical of Sage products after that and spent a long time trying to find something other than a Sage but I kept remembering the fantastic microfoam that the Pro produced. Finally decided to go with the Oracle Touch and I'm glad I did. It is much less fiddly than the Pro. I didn't want to be a barista, I just wanted a great cup of coffee. The Oracle is easy to use and has fewer variables to control. Initially I was disappointed with the milk steaming - I wasn't getting that fantastic microfoam. Decided that perhaps it had left the factory with a film on it so used the steam wand cleaner and the magic foam returned. Now I'm happy - brewing great coffee whether with milk or without.
