Excellent Stand Mixer
After doing some research into stand mixers and based on my available budget, it was a toss up between KitchenAid and Kenwood. I decided on the KitchenAid based on a number of factors including recommendations from family members, friends and social groups. I'm delighted with my purchase. The mixer is fairly quiet, it stays put on the work surface without moving around and I use it regularly to make cakes, scones and pizza dough. Although quite expensive it came with a 5 year guarantee and I would definitely recommend for home use. I think if you want to mix bigger quantities of mixture you may wish to consider upgrading to a bigger model or a more commercial type of stand mixer.

My much wanted kitchen aid stand mixer
Ever since I saw a kitchen aid stand mixer I have wanted one, but my husband bought me another (well known) brand of mixer, which served me well for 25 years, then he bought me another to replace it. But since seeing so many cookery programmes on television all featuring different coloured and extremely quiet kitchen aids, I still coveted them. Anyway, although my old mixer is still going strong, 20 years on, this Christmas hubbie bought me my lovely emporer red mixer,,,,,oh the joy, just mixed my first lemon drizzle cake….it’s in the oven and we could hold a conversation while it was mixing.

Overall good investment time will now tell.
Only had this a short time so can't comment on reliability so automatically start at four stars. Our limited use has been for pastry so far and it seems to function well. Controls seem positive and engineering overall appears solid. Head lift is smooth and it runs quietly enough although in these modern times I'd have thought it could have been quieter given you can hardly hear an electric car! Still it's not bad. Finish is good and it looks iconic. My brother bought one also, but the base where the bowl secures was installed incorrectly making the bowl almost impossible to remove. Second one was ok. All in all it promises to be a fair investment for family use. Time will tell.

So good we had to put a name on it.
Florence the Machine as we’ve nicknamed her is so beautiful we can’t bare to hide her away in the cupboard so she has pride of place on the counter top. She’s been put through her paces with bread dough cake mixes and mash potatoes to name just a few all with excellent results and the second bowl included meant we can whip up a cake frosting without the hassle of washing up between mixes and then put it all through the dishwasher at the end. A well built product that will stand up to daily use and still look as good in 5 years time as the day we purchased. Expensive yes but with all the extras included and quality of build Shes worth it! Couldn’t be happier with our investment .

Fabulous mixer
Fabulous colour that really brings the kitchen to life. The machine is extremely quiet (when compared to my previous well known branded stand mixer) and mixes everything to perfection, already made New York cookies, coconut sponge and baked lemon cheesecake, which all went down a storm at work. The attachments wash up well and the splash guard saves ingredients flying around your kitchen, the additional bowl and attachments come in handy when making different components of your bake. Waited a long time for my Kitchenaid but it’s been worth the wait. Love it and painted a feature wall the same colour.

Great mixer !
The name says it all! Fantastic machine makes bread and pizza dough without slowing down , cake mixing or batter for Yorkshire’s are done in no time.Easy cleaning and solid build make this a”PRO”Mixer ,my previous mixer was a Kenwood, a good tool but no comparison to this one. Hope this helps someone to make a decision.

A wise investment for any kitchen.
I must admit I agonised about this purchase. I mean, what can it do that I can't by hand? The answer is (of course) nothing, but it does so many things far faster, more thoroughly, and with far less effort than I can by hand. Thus it makes me a far better baker than I was.
It has also inspired me to make things I wouldn't have considered in the past - the pasta making accessories are now top of my wants list.
So: It's very pretty and it's also very effective. It's also in use at least twice a week. Incidentally we got a superb deal on it thanks to very sound advice from staff at Lakeland.

Beautiful colour and fantastic mixer
I've wanted a kitcheaid for ages and it has certainly loved up to my expectations. I love the pink colour and wouldn't have wanted any other. The tools and bowls are such good quality which is exactly what I would expect from this product. I make meringues, cakes and bread dough with such ease now. Fantastic.
