Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super duper Had this speaker for around 3 weeks now. The unboxing was super exciting and the initial visuals were impressive. It looks premium and the feel and touch is luxurious. I would say i have a mid range of tec experience and knowledge and this felt really easy to plug and play. Within minutes of being out the box I had my Spotify playlist blaring out the speaker. The sound is awesome, maybe a little too awesome for a semi detached house! Crisp, rich sound and can't wait to use it for a summer bbq. I am still working my way through the various features but really impressed with the quality.

The design is inspired by the sixties with finishes in eco-leather and aluminum, where we find a comfortable handle for carrying. The dimensions are 342 x 195.6 x 180.3 mm with a weight of 4.9 kg. It is a true masterpiece in terms of audio quality, with the ability to adjust the bass and treble, clear and clear sounds, with its powerful woofers. You can connect via Bluetooth and wi-fi, allowing you to easily connect devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers for streaming. You can also use it to manage phone calls, and connect to Alexa, or Google assistant with voice command. It favors 8 hours of playtime and 3.5 hours for charging. I strongly recommend it for quality and value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive sound I had a Bose SoundTouch 30 that annoyingly packed up and contacted Bose who said that they cannot repair the unit. So I thought I would try a JBL smart speaker as I already had a 9.1 sound bar for the TV which I was really impressed by. Bass and sound quality is amazing with more power than the previous Bose. Easy setup. The Dolby Atmos works over airplay. There are no preset buttons on it but not a problem as you can tell it what to play over Alexa or Google. There is no remote with it, so you need to download the JBL One App. There are volume, treble and base knobs on top. My only gripe is no remote, but I am very impressed overall. Virtually no distortion at really high volume, but it is so powerful you do not need to crank it up that high anyway.

The JBL Authentics 300 retro-inspired speaker is portable with long lasting batteries so It easy to move around the house. I have download the JBL App to access all settings for this fabulous speaker, has auto calibration which is a great feature. The extra future for this JBL speaker is WI-FI connection that comes with build in Alexa and Google Assistant integration. A great system for a party or filling a room with music. Also, I like that I can adjust the volume directly on the speaker. The integrated handle is a great future, so the speaker can be easily moved around the house. I would definitely recommend this JBL Authentics 300 to anyone that is looking for a speaker to fill the room with music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound, quality and style Amazing product with amazing features. Wow, the sound is brilliant, Extreme adjustable bass. Great connectivity using the JBL One, Alexa or Google apps using the built-in wifi. I used both my wireless headphones as well as my wired ones using the 3.5mm jack socket and the sound was still excellent. The retro look is stylish and authentic. The 300 is a weighty beast, but still portable being able to use the power lead or built-in battery. It has a USB C port to enable connection of additional products. I listen to a variety of media, including Spotify, Amazon Music and Audible. Using the JBL One app allows me to change the sound settings to my preference. The only downside is the 300 is a bit pricey, but if you love excellent sound, quality and style it's well worth the price tag.

Controlling it via the app is seamless, allowing for convenient adjustments to the equalizer settings from your phone Its integration of Alexa and Google Assistant, along with built-in Wi-Fi is a great addition. While it can produce impressively loud and rich sound, its battery life, although satisfactory, has room for improvement. It's worth noting it is a little heavy which reduces its portability, It also lacks Dolby Atmos support and may seem pricey compared to alternative options on the market. Overall, it is a good quality speaker with great features and I am happy with my purchase.

can the maximum battery charge be limited to extend the lifespan of the battery?

Thank you for your question. In order to increase the lifespan of the battery on the JBL Authentics 300, please do the following: Avoid long-term usage in high temperature environment. This will drastically affect battery life and performance. Avoid charging in the sun. This will drastically affect battery life and performance. Do not leave the unit fully discharged. This is very bad for the battery. When unit stops working because the battery is completely depleted, recharge as soon as possible. Is it okay to leave this speaker constantly plugged into mains with power on? Will it damage battery? Currently plugged into shared outlet with tv box that is always powered on.
