Excellent
Recently received as a Christmas present. On Christmas Day I read some of the reviews on here and wondered if it might go back to the store. Main complaints seem to be the battery life and UNDOK app. Neither appear to be relevant to this product. The quality is excellent as is the sound. The UNDOK app works perfectly without any drop out or lagging. I have fitted 6 unbranded 2850mah rechargeable batteries and on the radio on 15/30 volume they last exactly 11 hours. I cannot ask for more and think quite a few of these reviews are unrepresentative of this radio. I hope it lasts as long as the quality suggests it should

The Revival iStream 3L is not an enhanced version
The Revival iStream 3L is not an enhanced version of the iStream 3, on the contrary.
This new version (iStream 3L) is a big disappointment compared to the old version (iStream 3). The function to play music files from a network server (UPnP) has been removed, as well as the Loudness function in "My EQ profile setup". None of this is mentioned in the product sheet. In short, I do not recommend this new version of the radio. Could you restore these features via a software upgrade?

Ever (not) Ready!!
Bought this iconic radio as a landmark birthday present for somebody who owned the very same transistor radio back in the 60s when we used to skip round the dial for all the pirate stations! Really pleased with the overall finish and functions apart from one thing. I don't know why, but I expected it to have built in, especially at that price, it's own rechargeable battery. Maybe because I bought a Sonos Move last year, which, does. So, unfortunately, outside, it's very 60s tech, batteries!! which is a bit of a drag. That's why you only got 4 stars!

Fabulous radio but new colours please
I’ve got the original iStream 3 in berry red and love it. Fabulous sound, great looks and easy to use. I miss the aerial socket of the previous model as I live in a weak DAB area and used an external antenna but not the end of the world although I would like it back (and not the daft 3.5mm stereo jack on the petite as no adapter fits it). My main wish though is for a revision of the colours, I love the new yellow but desperately want the dark green that is offered on the Revival Uno. I’ll buy another for my conservatory as soon as you do it in Uno green so come on Roberts, drop some of the boring colours (I’m looking at you Dove Grey and you Cream and definitely you Duck Egg :-)) and add some more funky colours. Fabulous radio though and thoroughly recommended.

Just perfect
I have wanted a Roberts radio for years. My kids have bought me this iStream for my birthday, and I love it. Took about 15 minutes to set it all up. I am blown away by the sound quality. The display is easy to read, and finding stations amongst the thousands available was a doddle. This replaces an internet radio I have had for about 15 years, so all my favourites were on the Frontier Nuvola account.
I know that a lot of people ahave expressed a concern about battery life; but if you think about it, the radio has to use a lot of processing power to pull in all those stations, so it's not really surprising it will eat into the batteries. I've just ordered some high capacity rechargeable, so that will help.
For me, there is nothing not to like. It's gorgious and I love it!

Very good radio
An excellent radio. Great sound, great coverage. Reasonable value. But sadly, Roberts has decide to drop the use of the Nuvola database of internet stations. That would have been useful. Also the scrolling speed across the display of stations with long names means that can be unusable (because there are families of stations which all start with the same few words.) It is possible to get around this by using the Undok app, which works excellently. But why should I have to use an app to use a radio? And I hope this does better than past Roberts radios where buttons - and in one case the display - just don't work after a while.

Amazing sound and versatility
I saw this radio several years ago when I was visiting London and immediately added it to my wishlist. I finally received the Midnight Blue and it is absolutely gorgeous! I mainly use it as an Internet radio here in the U.S. and it is working perfectly. Set-up was very simple here and took about 10 minutes.
There are two downsides so far. Searching for Internet radio stations is a bit meticulous; lots of button pushing and turning. But no harm done! I've added a bunch of my favorites to my playlist and all is good. Also, I am a Tidal subscriber, but the Tidal icon does not appear on the main radio screen as shown in some of the product photos I've seen. I can still access and listen to my Tidal playlists on the iStream though. The Undok app works flawlessly, as well. Songs appear quickly and clearly on my iPhone.
The sound is incredible for such a small radio. The unit has several preloaded equalizer settings which make it simple to configure your particular genre.
Overall, I am quite pleased with this radio for its looks, sound and versatility. While a little on the expensive side, I feel it's a good investment and should last a long time.

Avoid avoid avoid
This is the sixth Roberts Radio I have had to send back. Every one has crashed or frozen. THe firs tone was a gift so I have been trying to replace it. Have finally given up. I wonder fi any of these things actually work at all. Avoid avoid avoid.
