Outstanding sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound is outstanding. I use these daily, in particular coastal walks which can often be windy, this is where the noise cancelling was tested, they were excellent. Double tap an ear cup to turn it on.The controls are easy to use, the wee joystick is great. I’m small but find them very comfortable to wear for long periods. Setup via the app and bluetooth connection was simple and quick, the app is where you can play around with features. I can’t leave out the battery life, 55 hours and charging is quick. As well as quirky colour options, mines are yellow, you also get a nifty fold flat case

Worth every penny
I had seen limited reviews, but having a few other Dyson products, I decided to take the plunge. The frequency coverage, looks and customisable features swung it for me. Ordered two days before coming on open sale, I chose the dark nickel, combine with the dark iron pads. The purchase and subsequent delivery were pleasantly uneventful, with good communications throughout. The unwrapping process screamed premium product and is only what is expected of Dyson products.
First use and pairing were a breeze, and I was very impressed with the audio quality. I would normally use Beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro headphones, but the Dysons really do challenge them for sound clarity. Bass response is something else. Hearing below 20Hz is pretty much non-existant. However you really do feel the bass here, not in a disturbing way, but in a felt wrapped around your head way.
Would I recommend the headphones... yes, and I have to a few people already that really do like them. Yes, they are expensive, but as my father used to say " you get what you pay for", and that in this case is quality!

absolutely fabulous.
Very excited to take ownership of my new Dyson headphones. The packaging was thoughtful and efficient with no waste or unwanted bulk. Inside the outer box was a carefully constructed protective case. The colour, size, shape and textures of the headphones instantly excited me. They were fully charged so I didn't have to wait to try them out. I easily (within seconds) connected them to my laptop via blue tooth and everyone in the room wanted a try, no lag or latency, only dancing. I also downloaded the Dyson app and registered them for guarantee etc. The righthand earpiece is turned anti-clock wise and the serial number is engraved inside. Quite a good exercise to do anyway to see the construction and how easy it would be to change out the ear pads to different colours etc. The Dyson app allows you to easily change the equalizer, add more/less bass etc. So again a nice little exercise to get to know the headphones. The sound cancelling works great and can be changed within the app or easily with a double tap to the earpiece. Sound quality is exceptionally clear and I'm hearing new elements to records I have listen to for years. The weight and comfort/padding was just right for my slightly larger than average adult head, with the battery cleverly concealed within the top band. I have worn them for hours without discomfort or overheating. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Great sound and user friendly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones have great sound, plenty of bass and the accompanying app is easy to navigate, but I was daunted by the size and weight of them when I unboxed them. However, once on my head, they are balanced so well that I can wear them comfortably for hours. Despite having a small head and ears, they fitted snuggly, not budging as bumped along in my wheelchair. The battery life is very good and you can track it in app, where you can also chose between three sound and noise cancellation modes. The mini joystick on the headphones adjusts sound/skips tracks/accepts calls and needs only a light touch(takes a few tries to get the knack), which is great, as the Bluetooth connection is solid enough that you can leave your phone at the opposite end of the house without a problem. Great sound without needing to be a sound engineer to use.

excellent, comfortable, a bit heavy but brilliant
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the headphones for just over a week and I've found them excellent. Right out of the box they had 90% battery and I've only recharged them once so far despite using them daily. The sound cancelling works wonderfully under the Heathrow flightpath when I'm sat out in my garden and it's only taken a few tries to get used to the necessary force to switch between the modes with the double-tap controls.
The Bluetooth hasn't been a problem with lag or latency. I'm a gamer at heart and the left/right stereo has been clear as a bell for all the audio-cues from my games letting me know where things are spatially and distance-wise and the built-in mic carry's my voice just fine.
Sound quality is wonderful, the features I thought would be gimmicky (like head detect automatically switching off and pausing videos or music when taking them off) have turned into behaviour changers for me. The joystick doesn't seem compatible with every player for forwards/backwards commands and the volume can sometimes be hit/miss but its intuitive to use and still better than other pairs of headphones I've used.
Sound clarity is beautiful and the app works easily to change between the base and enhance modes. I hope to see more features developed for this app in time and I look forwards to what else happens and what other measuring metrics will be added. I haven't found a source that pushes the lower end bass yet but its clearly got a fine range and perfect reproduction of sound.
The Ontrac are heavy but don't feel it to wear, the weight is on the top of the head rather than the ears and easy to adjust. The cushions sit just on my ears and I've worn them for hours without feeling sore or sweaty so full points.
Mine have the orange cushions and aluminium outers. I haven't purchased any other colours but I have removed them (to see what was inside) and they're very easy to clip back together.
I really love them and fully recommend the Ontrac to others!

Good sound quality but poor design & heavy weight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great noise reduction and sound quality with excellent battery life but let down by weight and overall comfort, made worse by instability on your head when walking and bending down. Plus looking like a cybernan when wearing them is real minus point!!
