If an earbud comes into contact with water it thinks I have pressed the button to play/pause or activate/deactivate noise cancelling (depending on which side gets wet) - this is very annoying when swimming on the surface, is there any way to prevent this

Is the Bluetooth ok for playing while swimming in a pool with a phone nearby as long as not submerging much?
