A nice compact DVD Player
This is a good DVD Player which when connected using the HDMI cable supplied gives excellent sound and picture quality. It has some very good features including restarting from where viewing was last stopped. The original player of this make and model which I purchased proved faulty with playing dropping out after a short while. This occurred during the first week of use and the unit was returned and a replacement supplied which so far has proved to work well. I have only given it 4 stars because of the problem with the first player but if it proves to be reliable I would rate this 5 stars - features, playback quality and value for money.

Great customer service
The first one I bought was faulty and wouldn't play discs. I spoke with customer service and they sorted a replacement straight away, they were very friendly and helpful. Replacement works fine. Easy to set up and use. It's really compact and light. I only need it for children's dvds so I can't comment on the other functions it has but it works fine as a dvd player. It doesn't come with a HDMI cable which probably should be made more obvious in the website description.

Easy to set up, works well, sounds a little loud starting off but the it's fine. Does not come with HDMI cable so make sure to order one as well.

Surprise……
I bought this player because it was noted as playing European and American formatted DVDs. I was surprised to find out that DVDs that I purchased in the States wouldn’t play because the copies weren’t licensed to play in this country. That is a new twist, but something to be aware of.

Great picture and sound
I bought this DVD player on 29-12-2020. It plays my DVD's brilliantly and the sound is great. However, I have to play it by using the controls on the set as the only button that works on the remote is the opening/closing button. I do not know whether the remote I have is the correct one because it differs from the buttons shown on the quick set up diagram. It would have been helpful if there had been explanations of the buttons in the instructions.

Very Easy
Just wanted a cheap DVD player that was easy to use. This fits the bill perfectly. Very easy setup. Open the box attach a HDMI lead to the player and the TV. Select the source from TV remote, follow clear setup instructions on the screen, insert DVD and press play. Jobs a good un.

Excellent instulation
Connected to my smart TV and Bose sound system with HDMI . Switched on and watched "Sands of Iwo Jima" great picture quality and sound. Well done Sony for a great product and the small size a big plus.
